Hoshigaoka is an inn with a small observatory built high on a hill.
The countless stars in the vast sky of the land are so enthralling that you forget the
passage of time. There are no difficult talks, just an experience for you to enjoy the
brilliance of the stars. We aim for stargazing that even primary school children can
enjoy, with stories from the Greek mythology, using an astronomical telescope to see
the craters of the moon and the brightest constellations, as well as taking photos
through the telescope lens with your smartphone.
Why not come and bathe under the stars yourself?
The sky is filled with countless twinkling stars in the night.
The Milky Way, which cannot be seen in the city.
The fleeting shooting stars that disappear in an instant.
Looking up at the sky here in Hoshigaoka, a world opens up where you can forget the
hustle and bustle and busyness of everyday life. Encounter the beautiful glow of the
stars through an astronomical telescope.

conditions.)

on the ground floor before the start time.

■What is the sky like in Biei?
Even the Milky Way, which is rarely seen in the city, can be seen clearly.
The night sky seen in the darkness is much brighter than the night sky seen in the
city, and the stars that you can usually see may be difficult to find among many
brightly-shined stars.
■Please note
Many of the sightseeing spots in Biei are farmlands and properties of farmers.
Please be very careful not to step onto the land or damage it. It is difficult to
see the footholds,
especially at night, and there may be a risk of injury if you enter
inadvertently.
Pleasev be considerate when parking to ensure everyone’s enjoyment.
